Welcome to the 2017 La Plata Blue Knights Cheer Season

********************************NEW UNIFORMS! ********************************

We have been sharing our spirit for over ten years wearing our current uniforms.  This year we would like to purchase new uniforms for our cheerleaders!  We will be phasing the uniforms in by squad depending on how much money is raised and squad sizes.  The Cheer Committee is currently in talks with several vendors to finalize a design and negotiate the best value to the organization.

Practice days and times will vary per team. All practices will be held in La Plata. Practices will be moved inside sometime in the end of September early October. Once we do move inside all practices are closed to Parents.

Squad Placement - Cheerleaders are placed on squads based on their age as of August 31st. Registering your child on a team, does not guarantee their place on that team. The Cheer Committee will determine the squads and you will be notified by your Coach on or about July 1st.

Competition – We usually attend at least 2 competitions each year. More information will be given at a later date regarding locations and dates. It is also the Coach’s decision to attended additional competitions.

Game Schedule – We will not have game schedules until the 2nd or 3rd week of practices. It will be the Cheer Committee and Coach’s decision on how many games will be cheered for, no more than 10 but possibly more if your football team makes it to playoffs and states.
